Community Housing Improvement Program, more popularly known as CHIP, provides healthy, sustainable, affordable housing and related services to qualified residents in the North Valley. We're a nonprofit that was founded in 1973 by several students at California State University, Chico. Fast forward to today, and CHIP is building the future of affordable multi-family developments, managing 16 rental properties, and helping homeowners affordably build their own high-quality homes right here in the North Valley (Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Shasta, Sutter, Tehama, and Yuba counties).

Addressing the affordable housing crisis is serious work, and yet we find the time to have fun and enjoy ourselves. Our diverse team is committed to doing great work, being helpful and supportive to each other, and making a positive impact in our community.
